Kent’s original vineyard, Biddenden has been owned and managed by the Barnes family since 1969. Today the vineyard is run by the second & third generations of the family, drawing on many years of experience in winemaking at Biddenden.
Their winery estate is open to the public. Book a guided tour or simply drop by and take a self-guided walking tour of our vineyard; enjoy a wine flight at their tasting bar or share a bottle under their stretch tent outside. Everyone is welcome at Chapel Down.
A family business and one that is truly independent. From vine to wine and from grape to glass they are committed to making small batch, estate grown wines that are a true expression of a boutique vineyard in the heart of the Kent countryside.
Their wines are deeply rooted in the land and the principles of sustainable farming. From the start, they have focused on the importance of terroir—the unique combination of soil, climate, and natural surroundings that make each wine truly special.
The vines are situated between the ancient bluebell woods and our family home, the Oast house. A solitary Red Oak sits amidst the vineyard, a perfect shaded spot to enjoy watching the vines grow. Currently they have planted Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Bacchus and Divico.
Simpsons Wine Estate was founded by a husband-and-wife team bringing decades of winemaking expertise from their award-winning French vineyard to Kent, combining passion, precision, and exceptional terroir to craft elegant, world-class English wines with a distinctive sense of place.
They named the Vineyard in respect to the sea monsters that swam there over fifty million years ago during the cretaceous period, when the North Downs were the bed of a vast ocean. White sharks and Megalodon sharks swam in vast numbers amongst the many other weird and wonderful creatures of the deep.
Their vineyard is situated in the village of Warehorne and is spread across 10.2 hectares. They are very excited to be able to showcase Their Oasthouse Estate Rosé, Oasthouse Estate White, Oasthouse Pinot Noir and Oasthouse Estate Red Reserve. Their wines are very much the fruit of our labour.
A family-owned vineyard started in 2013 on part of our farm where the soils match the terroir of the Champagne region of France.
Chartham Vineyard is part of Burnt House Farm located just outside the historic City of Canterbury in East Kent.
Just outside Groombridge, East Sussex, and only an hour from London, you’ll find Birchden Vineyards. It’s a little slice of heaven; a family-run, 23-acre working farm where they work with nature and their community to lovingly produce mouth-watering wines, honey and apple juice.
The one of the oldest vineyards in Kent. Everything at Barnsole is crafted by hand by their artisans. It is a boutique Kent vineyard and winery, with a handful of passionate wine makers who strive to produce premium quality Kentish sparkling wines.
Their vineyard surrounds a 13th-century Wealden Hall House in Kent. When they arrived in 2005, it was an overgrown tangle—but after years of care and restoration, it now produces exceptional wines in the heart of the Garden of England.
Will Davenport was always a keen supporter of organic farming and in 2000 he made the decision to convert all the vines and winery to organic systems, certified by the Soil Association. At the time this was a huge risk, but ultimately the vines are in great shape and the fruit quality is second to none.
With a maximum capacity of 5,000 bottles, Dingleden winery only produces wine using grapes grown at the vineyard. Quality and continuity are key goals at Dingleden Vineyard, and the small, limited edition vintages produced ensure these goals are consistently met.
West Fisher is proudly dedicated to producing quality wines and supporting small-scale producers who share their values. They also produce a limited batch of scrumpy cider—and have reintroduced their much-loved range of liqueurs.
Set on a gently sloping South-West facing slope, with the chalky soil so famously linked to the Champagne region, they grow Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. Their grapes are then transformed into wine at Oxney Wine Estate, using their expertise to get the very best from the harvests.
They produce small batch wines, combining innovative new viticulture growing techniques with years of experiences of growing at Brenley Farm to produce a consistent, quality product. They grow Bacchus, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, & Chardonnay.
Domaine Evremond launched at Westminster Abbey in 2015, making English Sparkling Wine history. A unique partnership between Champagne Taittinger and their British friends, Hatch Mansfield, this marked the first time that a Champagne house had invested in the United Kingdom.
Since planting their first vines in 2004, Gusbourne has focused on crafting exceptional vintage wines using only estate-grown grapes. They cultivate premium Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier across 90 hectares in Kent and West Sussex.
Climactic conditions now make East Kent, and the Canterbury area in particular, an optimum location for growing the champagne varieties. They have planted the classic champagne varieties Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier for sparkling wine, but include clones which produce outstanding still wines.
Wayfarer Wines is a family run vineyard created by the Ashford family. Matt, Vineyard Manager, says “Our focus is creating truly outstanding still wines from Kent, unlike many English Vineyards, we don’t produce any sparkling at all!'
Graham and Donna Barbour found the perfect site for a vineyard in 2009 and planted 10,000 vines in 2010, the vineyard is 20m above sea level and has the perfect aspect for growing vines. Woodchurch released their first vintage in 2015 and now produce a range of award-winning still and sparkling wines.
The Mount family have been growing fruit at Woolton Farm for over 100 years. Today the business is still run by the family and diversified into drinks production, accommodation, hospitality, arable farming, managed woodland and grazing, countryside stewardship and more.
